Install the PayPal Addon
Once the plugin is activated, we need to install the Paypal add-on.

Follow the steps below to activate the Paypal add-on.
- From the dashboard of the WordPress site, go to WPForms > Addons.
- You will see a list of available add-ons based on your plan. Search for the Paypal addon and install it.
- It will be activated automatically.
Create a Form
Once the Paypal addon is activated, you need to create a new form.
WPForms offers a range of templates and you can choose any form template.
If you want to accept donations on your website, then you can choose the “Donation form”.
Else, you can create a form from scratch using a blank form.
For example, we will use the “Billing/Order Form” to create a new form.

Customize the form by adding/removing the fields on the form such as name, phone number, email address, product name, etc.
Add a total field to the form so that users will see the total amount they will be paying.
You do not need to add the “Credit Card” field since it will be collected on the Paypal site once the form is submitted.
Add Paypal payments to your Form
It is time to connect the form to Paypal.
Follow the steps below:
- Click on the Payments section on the form.
- Choose the Paypal add-on and click on it.
- Look for the option “Enable PayPal Standard payments” and check the box.

There are a few more things that need to be filled in on this settings page.
PayPal Email Address: Enter your Paypal email to receive payments.
Mode: Choose the mode as production.
Payment Types: You can select either Products and Services or Donation
Cancel URL: Enter the URL to direct if the payment fails.
Shipping: A shipping address is required if you are shipping any physical products.
At the bottom of the editor, there will be two options.
Don’t ask the buyer to include a note with payment: You can select this option if you do not wish to add notes by your customer.
Enable Conditional Logic: You can enable this option if you want to let the user choose between Stripe and Paypal.
Click on Save once all the changes are made to the form.
Add the Payment Form to your Site
There are 3 ways to add the form. They are
- Create a unique page for the form
- You can click the embed button on the form and copy the shortcode and add it to the page.
- You can add it from the editor page.
- If you using the Gutenberg editor, click on the Add Block (+) icon. Now search for the WPForms block using the search box and click on it.
- If you are using the classic editor, click on add forms, and select WPForms.
That’s all! Now WPForms will record the entries for the payment forms.
You can view all the payments processed through this form from the form entries section.

When the user submits the form, it will be in pending status. Once the payment is processed, it will go to “Completed” status.
